In a matter of days, my life will be changing. I am a mature student having finally finished a four year degree in Sustainable Development. However, over the past few weeks I have begun to question my living habits. To which, I have wondered whether, is it possible to become more self-sufficient and live a life detached from the commercial rhythm of life. Is it important that we don’t forget the nature of traditional ‘ethical’ living and allow globalisation to swallow our dreams of becoming green again? So, in taking this on the chin; I have decided that for changes to happen within my own life, within my circle and household, it is up to myself to take the first few steps and adjust everything that I have grown up to know and trust and to question my own motives.
The purpose of this blog, is to show how, an ordinary person like myself can live a life that is more sustainable, more ethical and obviously greener. The intentions aren’t to struggle or prohibit myself from having life’s wonderful luxuries however, in keeping an open mind, my impact on this magnificent world will be vastly reduced and still ensure I have the best quality of life a person can achieve.
